Kad Bacaan 1,2,3
I've created sets of free printable Bahasa Malaysia Reading flash cards for personal use.
Using flash cards makes it much easier to memorize basic reading facts including phonics.. I believe that the use of flash cards can effectively help children learn important facts and aid in the comprehension of information.
First I print in a A4 paper and to create the cards, cut each front/back unit as one rectangle, then fold along the middle. Attach the backs together using either tape or glue. So easy , right?
I prefer a glue stick as it is fast and not messy. But clear tape or regular liquid glue works too.
Suku Kata a, i
This is our first lesson. I originally made this Suku Kata (phonics)mini chart for my kids to teach reading..I spent a lot of time getting those up and I have recently begun paying more attention to this section.

Right Hobbies For Kid...
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Teach your children swimming, archery and horse riding".
Archery
The Prophet (peace be on him) once passed by a group of his Companions who were competing in archery. He encouraged them, saying, “Shoot, and I am with you”.(Reported by al-Bukhari ).The Prophet (peace be on him) said, “Practice archery; that is good for you.” (Reported by al-Bazzar and by al-Tabarani on good authority.)
However, word of warning, don’t go around torturing birds and animals with your new hobby. The Prophet (peace be on him) warned archers against using chickens and the like as targets for practice, as the Arabs of jahiliyyah used to do. Once ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar saw a group of peoples doing this and he told them, “The Prophet (peace be on him) cursed the one who takes anything possessing life as a target.”(Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim.)
Archery allows you to connect with one of the most primitive of weapons; It’s the kind of quiet, repetitive, focused activity that can truly settle your mind. It’s a hobby you can start trying right away in your backyard (makes sure it’s a safe area!) There are also archery parks you can try at, where 3-d targets are scattered in the woods. Cool.
Archery helps kids focus, concentrate and learn how to follow directions. It also gives kids a good sense of achievement, as they tend to see marked improvements over time.
Horseback Riding
Allah Ta’ala says, “And (He created) horses, mules, and donkeys for you to ride and as adornment….” (Quran Chapter 16 Verse 8), and the Prophet (peace be on him) said, “There is blessing in the forelocks of horses.”(Reported by Ahmad.) He also said, “Practice archery and horseback riding.” (Reported by Muslim.) And again, “Any action without the remembrance of Allah is either a diversion or heedlessness excepting four acts: walking from target to target (during archery practice), training a horse, playing with one’s family, and learning to swim”. (Reported by al-Tabarani on good authority.)
Umar – May Allah be pleased with him said -, “Teach your children swimming and archery, and tell them to jump on the horse’s back.” Ibn ‘Umar reported that the Prophet (peace be on him) organized horse races and gave a prize to the winner. (Reported by Ahmad.) All this was done by the Prophet (peace be on him) to encourage competition in sports involving physical exercise and discipline.
The benefits of horse riding are immense enjoyment, physically and mental fitness and a chance to enjoy the open countryside.
As the hadeeth of Prophet Muhammad above and Umar’s saying indicate – swimming is also another noble hobby and sport to pursue. It builds us strength, teaches our kids a vital skill (you never know when you’ll need to swim for your life!) and is an excellent relaxing hobby as well. A step up from swimming would be Scuba Diving! The only reason I bring it here is because truly, this one just shoots your eman to the top! Trust me, when you’re under the sea, you see a completely new world and all you can say is “SubhanaAllah!”. The corals, fish, and landscape of the world underneath the sea is beautiful and breath-taking. Try it!
Swimming is an excellent cardiovascular workout that promotes heart and lung health, improves strength and flexibility, increases stamina and even improves balance and posture. In addition, swimming is a way to prevent childhood obesity, which has been linked to juvenile diabetes, notes the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Swimming also puts less strain on joints and connective tissues than other forms of exercise
I hope I’ve inspired kids to start a new hobby from any of the list above, these are always fun and exciting to start with, but remember consistency is key. That’s where your hobby becomes a “serious hobby”. Let me know your thoughts on the above.. did I miss anything, did you try any of the above hobbies?

Tuition for kids
Looking at my son's school books nowadays always surprises me on how much they have to learn. I remember my own school days as being quite easy especially during primary school. Now a days kids facing at least two problems in their education ..as too many student in a class, very noisy , not a learning environment and too many subject & workbook.
Some parents send their kids to tuition at young age (Primary 1). Send kids to normal tuition center will and surely increase the burden of kids. If we can develop their motive to learn themselves that's even better.
Personally I find tuition is not a compulsory if the parents can teach their kids. For myself, I don't send my son for any tuition. To improve my son's English language, I borrow books from library for him. I check his school work weekly to see if he needs help in any areas and we work together to improve these areas.I support his school work with additional workbooks, which are easily available. Through these exercises, he gets the necessary practice needed.
I do not believe in over-stressing my son with academic tasks at a very young age, Primary One to Three is definitely very young. He is already attending school for half of the day and also attending religious school the remaining half. Homework is a big part of his life.
My opinion is tuition is not a blanket requirement, and should be on case to case basis. However, parents should not pressure their children by sending them to all sorts of tuition class just because they are not among the top 3 students.
One of my friend now regret sending his son to mental arithmethic class as there are at least 3-4 pages of homeworks for him to do each week. On top of his school works, he seems to spend his time doing homeworks all day long. I find he got not much time left for him to play.

Kids pocket money
When I give my children their pocket money it is divided in 2 ways. 20% is saved and put into a bank account and the other 80% is for them to spend on any items they may want like clothes, or toys or books or games etc. Of course they do have the option to give or save more.
I started to teach my son about saving when he was about 5 years old. I opened a bank account at CIMB Junior account for him.

Helping kids with homework.
Helping with Homework
These days schools burden students with a lot of homework which they need to tackle.
Already they are taught so many things in school and they have to learn many more things at home. Parents need to help their children in doing the homework properly.

Playhouse Disney
Two years back I personally purchased this encyclopedia for my son when he was 4 years old . I read together with them make our bonding stronger and all images are big enough and colorful. They really enjoyed it.!!
Every child loves learning about animals and my kids are no exception. Join all their favorite Playhouse Disney pals for a brand-new learning experience .They are so beautiful. My seven year old boy has always admired Mickey Mouse and my 4 year old daughter well, her answer changes daily. Playhouse Disney Encyclopedia is a fantastic resource for my children.
This comprehensive encyclopedia is specially designed for active preschool learners eager to explore the Earth they live on, the animals they share the planet with, and the elements of nature that surround them. Each page features stunning full-color photos, easy-to-follow text, along with character art from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, My friends Tigger and Pooh, and Little Einsteins.
We can pick the animals they want to learn more about and create a lesson plan featuring those animals. Every week we can pick a different group of animals, planets and learn something new.
I was so happy to get the opportunity to review this book and my children are very excited to start discovering new fun learning..
